It teaches us not just about spiritual matters but also about how to nurture our physical and emotional bonds with others. This post reflects on these biblical principles and how we can apply them to strengthen our relationships and overall well-being.
]]>As Christians, we've found that the Bible offers profound wisdom on relationships and wellness. It teaches us not just about spiritual matters but also about how to nurture our physical and emotional bonds with others. This post reflects on these biblical principles and how we can apply them to strengthen our relationships and overall well-being.
The Bible places significant emphasis on love, kindness, and mutual support in relationships. Scriptures like 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, which describes love as patient, kind, and enduring, guide us in how to treat one another. Ephesians 4:2-3 encourages humility, gentleness, and patience, urging us to bear with one another in love.
Stress can strain relationships, but we are reminded in Scripture that we are designed for community and connection. Galatians 6:2 instructs us to bear one another’s burdens, highlighting the importance of supporting each other in times of stress. By leaning on each other and our faith, we can navigate these challenges more effectively.
The intertwining of physical and spiritual wellness is a concept deeply rooted in Christian teachings. The Bible encourages us to care for our bodies, not only as a responsibility but as a form of worship. Romans 12:1, for instance, urges us to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, which is also a spiritual act of worship. This holistic approach to wellness acknowledges that caring for our physical health is inherently connected to our spiritual lives.
In a Christian relationship, integrating wellness means more than just shared activities; it involves a shared commitment to honor God through the way we treat our bodies and spirits.
In Christian life, nurturing relationships is about more than just companionship; it's about building each other up in love and faith, reflecting the teachings of Christ. By applying these biblical principles, we can strengthen our bonds and enjoy a more fulfilling, healthful relationship that honors God.

]]>To harness these benefits, we introduce Revvl Protect, an enteric-coated fish oil supplement rich in DHA and EPA. This formulation is designed to maximize the absorption of Omega-3s, ensuring that your body gets the full heart-healthy benefits. The enteric coating also helps prevent the common issue of “fishy burps” often associated with fish oil supplements.
]]>As we step into February, a month often associated with heart health, it's the perfect time to focus on one of the most beneficial nutrients for our hearts: Omega-3 fatty acids. In this post, we'll explore the incredible heart-healthy benefits of Omega-3 and introduce you to a product that effortlessly incorporates these benefits into your daily routine – Revvl Protect.
Omega-3 fatty acids are a type of essential fat that the body cannot produce on its own. These fats are crucial for maintaining heart health, and they come in different forms, primarily EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid). They’re known for their anti-inflammatory properties and their role in heart and brain health.
Reducing Triglycerides: High levels of triglycerides are linked with an increased risk of heart disease. Omega-3 fatty acids can significantly reduce these levels, promoting a healthier heart.
Lowering Blood Pressure: These fatty acids are also effective in lowering blood pressure levels, which is essential for preventing heart-related issues.
Improving Cholesterol Levels: Omega-3s help raise HDL (good cholesterol) levels while reducing LDL (bad cholesterol) and total cholesterol levels.
Preventing Plaque Buildup: They can prevent the plaque that hardens and narrows the arteries, reducing the likelihood of heart attacks and strokes.
Anti-inflammatory Properties: Chronic inflammation can damage blood vessels and lead to heart disease. Omega-3s have anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce this risk.
In addition to their well-documented heart health benefits, Omega-3 fatty acids also play a crucial role in brain health. This makes them an indispensable nutrient not only for the heart but also for the mind. Let’s delve into how Omega-3s can boost cognitive function:
Memory and Learning: DHA, a type of Omega-3, is a major structural component of the brain. It's essential for brain development and function, enhancing memory, learning, and cognitive processes.
Mood Regulation: Omega-3s have been linked to mood regulation. Regular intake of these fatty acids can help improve symptoms of depression and anxiety, leading to better mental well-being.
Neuroprotective Effects: These fatty acids possess neuroprotective properties, which can be beneficial in age-related cognitive decline. They help in maintaining brain health as one ages, potentially reducing the risk of diseases like Alzheimer's.
Revvl Protect's balanced formulation of DHA and EPA not only supports your heart but also contributes significantly to brain health. By incorporating Revvl Protect into your daily routine, you are not only taking a step towards a healthier heart but also nurturing your cognitive function. The enteric-coated fish oil ensures optimal absorption, making sure your brain receives the vital nutrients it needs for optimal performance.
Omega-3s are primarily found in fatty fish and seafood, making them a delicious addition to your meals. Some of the richest sources include:
For those who follow a plant-based diet or want to diversify their sources:
While getting nutrients from food is ideal, there are situations where supplements like Revvl Protect can play a crucial role:
In these cases, a high-quality Omega-3 supplement can ensure that you're getting adequate amounts of these essential fatty acids. However, it's always a good idea to consult with a healthcare provider before starting any supplement regimen, to tailor it to your individual health needs and circumstances.
To harness these benefits, we introduce Revvl Protect, an enteric-coated fish oil supplement rich in DHA and EPA. This formulation is designed to maximize the absorption of Omega-3s, ensuring that your body gets the full heart-healthy benefits. The enteric coating also helps prevent the common issue of “fishy burps” often associated with fish oil supplements.
Omega-3 fatty acids are a powerhouse of health benefits, vital for both heart and brain health. By choosing a comprehensive supplement like Revvl Protect, you’re not just making a wise choice for your heart, but also for your cognitive health. As we focus on overall wellness this year, let’s remember that a healthy body and a healthy mind go hand in hand, with Omega-3s playing a key role in both.
]]>In the Christian walk, faith isn’t just for Sundays – it's part of our daily lives, health goals included. Our bodies are gifts from God, and taking care of them is one way we honor that gift. It’s not just about looking good; it’s about feeling good and being able to serve God and others with more energy and joy.
]]>As we continue kicking off 2024, let’s chat about something close to many of our hearts: blending our Christian faith with our health goals. It's not just about hitting the gym or choosing salads over fries (though those are great starts!). It's about aligning our physical health endeavors with our spiritual journey. So, how do we do that? Let’s dive in!
In the Christian walk, faith isn’t just for Sundays – it's part of our daily lives, health goals included. Our bodies are gifts from God, and taking care of them is one way we honor that gift. It’s not just about looking good; it’s about feeling good and being able to serve God and others with more energy and joy.
Start with a Prayer: Before jumping into any health plan, why not start with a prayer? It’s like asking God to be your personal trainer, guiding your steps and giving you the strength for those tough days.
Finding Inspiration in the Good Book: The Bible isn’t a fitness manual, but it's full of wisdom about strength, discipline, and taking care of ourselves. A verse like “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13) can be a great motivator on days when you’re just not feeling it.
Eating with Gratitude: It’s not just about what we eat, but how and why. Eating can be an act of thankfulness for God’s provisions – enjoying the flavors and nourishing our bodies as a way of saying ‘thanks’ to the Big Guy upstairs.
Workouts as Worship: Ever thought of your workout as worship? It’s about thanking God for the ability to move, run, lift, and stretch. It turns a regular workout into something much more meaningful.
Lean on Your Church Buddies: Going on a health journey alone can be tough. Why not involve your church friends? Maybe start a walking group or a healthy recipe exchange. It’s about building each other up – physically and spiritually.
Let’s face it, sticking to health goals isn’t always easy. But with faith, even the tough days get a little easier. Trusting God to help us through can turn a stumble into just another step on the journey.
So, as we step forward into this new year, let’s blend our faith with our fitness goals. It’s not just about the number on the scale; it’s about feeling good, living well, and being able to give our best to the world around us. Here’s to a year where we grow stronger in every way – body, mind, and spirit!

Stress isn't just a buzzword; it's a real response our bodies have to the demands of daily life. Sometimes it's the fuel that gets us going, but too much of it, and we're like a car trying to run without oil. So, let's dive into some stress-busting strategies that have worked wonders for me and many others!
Envision a moment of serene communion with God through prayer and meditation. In the Christian tradition, this practice is more than just a stress-relief technique; it's a sacred time to connect with the Lord, seek His guidance, and find comfort in His presence. Setting aside a few minutes each day for prayer and meditation can profoundly impact your spiritual and emotional well-being. During this time, you can cast your worries onto Him (1 Peter 5:7), reflect on His Word (Joshua 1:8), and listen for His gentle guidance (Isaiah 30:21). This daily practice is like building a personal sanctuary where you can find peace and strength in God’s love, helping you navigate life’s stresses with faith and grace.
Whether it’s a morning jog, a yoga session, or dancing in your living room, moving your body is like sending a love letter to your brain. Exercise releases endorphins, those feel-good hormones that act like natural painkillers and mood elevators. Plus, it's a great way to break the cycle of overthinking!
Deep breathing is like a secret superpower we all have but often forget to use. Techniques like the 4-7-8 method – breathe in for 4 seconds, hold for 7, exhale for 8 – can be a game-changer. It’s like hitting the pause button on stress.
Ever noticed how everything seems more challenging when you’re tired? That’s because sleep and stress are closely linked. Creating a bedtime ritual, like reading or a warm bath, and aiming for those golden 7-9 hours can do wonders for your stress levels.
You are what you eat, and this couldn’t be truer when it comes to managing stress. Foods rich in vitamins, like omega-3s and magnesium (think salmon, nuts, and spinach), aren’t just tasty – they’re your allies in the battle against stress. And if you can't get them on your plate, get them in a capsule with a multivitamin or fish oil supplement!
Ever felt a weight lift off your shoulders after a good chat with a friend? That's the power of connection. Whether it’s a coffee date, a phone call, or even a quick text exchange, staying connected can help keep stress levels in check.
Juggling a million things at once? We’ve all been there! Learning to prioritize tasks and setting boundaries can be a lifesaver. Remember, it’s okay to say no sometimes, and it’s definitely okay to take breaks.
And lastly, let's talk about adaptogens. These natural helpers, like those found in Revvl Restore, can be a fantastic addition to your stress-management toolkit. They’re like a gentle, helping hand for your body, supporting your natural ability to handle stress.
There we have it, friends – some of our team's go-to strategies for keeping stress in check. Let’s embrace these techniques and make this new year a journey towards a calmer, more relaxed self. Remember, taking care of your mind is just as important as taking care of your body. Here’s to a serene and joyous year ahead!

This comprehensive guide delves into the essentials of optimizing gut health, ensuring a happier and more efficient digestive system.
The Gut-Brain Connection: Gut health is intricately linked to various aspects of health, including mental well-being. The gut-brain axis, a complex communication network, highlights this connection, underscoring the importance of a healthy digestive system for mental clarity and emotional balance.
The Role of Microbiota: The gut microbiome, comprising trillions of bacteria, is critical for digestion, nutrient absorption, and immune function. A balanced microbiome is essential for optimal gut health.
Fiber-Rich Foods: Incorporate a variety of fiber-rich foods like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. These foods promote the growth of beneficial gut bacteria and aid in regular bowel movements.
Probiotics and Prebiotics: Probiotics (found in yogurt, kefir, and fermented foods) introduce beneficial bacteria to the gut. Prebiotics (found in garlic, onions, and asparagus) act as food for these bacteria, fostering a healthy gut environment.
Hydration: Adequate water intake is crucial for digestive health, aiding in nutrient absorption and preventing constipation.
Stress Management: Chronic stress can adversely affect gut health. Practices like meditation, yoga, and regular exercise can help manage stress levels.
Regular Exercise: Physical activity is beneficial for gut motility and overall digestive function.
Adequate Sleep: Quality sleep is vital for gut health. Poor sleep patterns can disrupt the gut microbiome and impair digestion.
A crucial element in maintaining a healthy gut is the use of probiotics. Probiotics are live beneficial bacteria that, when ingested in adequate amounts, can provide health benefits beyond basic nutrition. They play a pivotal role in enhancing the gut microbiome, aiding in digestion, and supporting the immune system.
A prime example of a beneficial probiotic supplement is Revvl Digest, from Revvl Health. This specially formulated supplement contains a blend of carefully selected probiotics designed to support digestive wellness. Here's why incorporating Revvl Digest into your routine can be beneficial:
Targeted Probiotic Strains: Revvl Digest includes specific strains of bacteria known for their positive impact on digestive health. These strains work synergistically to balance the gut flora, promote healthy digestion, and enhance nutrient absorption.
Ease Digestive Discomfort: For those suffering from common digestive issues such as bloating, gas, or irregular bowel movements, Revvl Digest can help alleviate these symptoms by restoring the natural balance of gut bacteria.
Support for Overall Health: The benefits of a well-balanced gut extend beyond digestion. A healthy gut microbiome can influence everything from mood to immune health, underscoring the importance of a supplement like Revvl Digest in your daily regimen.
In addition to taking a supplement like Revvl Digest, it's beneficial to include dietary sources of probiotics. Foods such as yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi, and kombucha are rich in natural probiotics and can complement your probiotic supplementation.
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS): A common disorder affecting the large intestine, IBS is characterized by symptoms like cramping, abdominal pain, bloating, gas, and diarrhea or constipation.
Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): GERD is a chronic condition where stomach acid flows back into the tube connecting the mouth and stomach, causing symptoms like heartburn.
Food Intolerances: These occur when the body has difficulty digesting certain foods, leading to symptoms like bloating, gas, and abdominal pain.
While lifestyle and dietary changes can significantly improve gut health, it's important to consult healthcare professionals if you experience persistent or severe symptoms.
Optimizing gut health is a journey towards overall wellness. By embracing a balanced diet, managing stress, maintaining an active lifestyle, and being mindful of your body's signals, you can achieve a happier and healthier digestive system. Remember, a healthy gut is a key to a healthier you!
]]>In the quest for optimal health, the gut often emerges as a central player. This complex and fascinating part of our body is more than just a digestion center; it's a pivotal element in our overall wellness, influencing everything from our immune system to mental health. At Revvl Health, we understand this intricate connection, which is why we've introduced Revvl Digest – a probiotic supplement designed to nurture your gut health and, by extension, your entire well-being.
Our gut is often referred to as the "second brain," and for good reason. It's home to the enteric nervous system, an extensive network of neurons that communicates directly with our brain. This connection is crucial in regulating mood and cognitive functions. The gut is also where the microbiome resides – trillions of bacteria that play a vital role in digestion, nutrient absorption, and immune function. A balanced gut microbiome is essential for maintaining good health and preventing various diseases.
A healthy gut contributes to a robust immune system, efficient nutrient absorption, and even mental well-being. It’s involved in the production of serotonin, the "feel-good" neurotransmitter, linking gut health directly to mood and mental health. Conditions like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and even daily stress can disrupt this delicate balance, leading to a range of health issues.
Recognizing the critical role of gut health, Revvl Health developed Revvl Digest, an innovative probiotic supplement that stands out with its unique ingredient – DE111®. As the temperatures rise and the sun shines brighter, it's time to embrace the joy and vitality of summer. However, staying cool and energized in the midst of scorching heat can sometimes be a challenge. Thankfully, there are plenty of natural ways to beat the heat and keep yourself refreshed throughout the season. In this article, we'll explore some effective strategies to stay cool, protect your skin, and maintain your energy levels during the summer months.
The warm rays of the sun can provide numerous benefits, such as boosting mood, enhancing vitamin D production, and improving overall well-being. However, it's important to enjoy the sun responsibly and avoid excessive exposure. Aim for early morning or late afternoon sun when the intensity is lower. Remember to wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 (recommended by most dermatologists) to protect your skin from harmful UV rays.
Staying hydrated is important to maintain optimal health and glowing skin, especially during the summer heat. Make a routine out of drinking an adequate amount of water every day to maintain a healthy temperature and ensure proper hydration. You can also incorporate hydrating foods into your diet, such as watermelon, cucumber, and leafy greens, which provide a refreshing boost and contribute to healthy, radiant skin!
Certain foods have natural cooling properties that can help regulate body temperature and provide relief from the heat. Incorporate foods like mint, cilantro, cucumber, and coconut water into your meals and snacks. These ingredients not only taste delicious but also have a refreshing effect, helping you beat the summer heat from the inside out.
Here are 10 cooling foods to add to your summer meal plans:
Selecting apparel that makes sense for the temperature outside can have a substantial effect on your level of ease in hot weather. Opt for lightweight, loose-fitting garments made from breathable fabrics like cotton or linen. Light colors also reflect heat, keeping you cooler throughout the day.
When the heat becomes intense, finding shade or spending time indoors can provide a welcome respite. Plan your outdoor activities during the cooler parts of the day and take breaks in shaded areas. If you're at home, close the blinds or curtains during the hottest hours to prevent the sun from heating up your living space.
Engage in activities that offer a refreshing escape from the heat. Take a dip in a pool, go for a swim at the beach, or enjoy a cool shower to lower your body temperature. You can also try indoor exercises like yoga or take advantage of air-conditioned spaces for your workouts.
Make your home a haven of coolness by creating a soothing environment. Use fans or air conditioners to circulate cool air, and place bowls of ice or chilled towels around to create a refreshing ambiance. Additionally, use light, breathable bedding materials to ensure a comfortable and restful sleep during the warm nights.
The summer season often comes with a busy schedule and outdoor activities, which can leave you feeling drained. It's essential to prioritize rest and self-care to maintain your energy levels. Take regular breaks, practice deep breathing exercises, and indulge in activities that bring you joy and relaxation.
To beat the heat and stay energized, it's important to manage your time wisely. Plan outdoor activities during cooler hours, avoid overexertion in the sun, and schedule rest breaks to restore your energy levels. By being mindful of your schedule, you can make the most of the summer season while keeping yourself cool and refreshed.
Nature offers various remedies that can help cool the body naturally. For example, applying aloe vera gel or cool cucumber slices on your skin can provide instant relief and soothe sun-kissed skin. You can also create a refreshing mist with floral waters like rose or lavender to spritz on your face and body.
As summer arrives, it's important to prioritize your well-being and stay cool and energized amidst the heat. By following these natural strategies, you can beat the heat, protect your skin, and maintain your energy levels throughout the season. Embrace the sun in moderation, stay hydrated, enjoy refreshing foods, and create a cool and comfortable environment both indoors and outdoors. Remember to take care of yourself, practice self-care, and make the most of this vibrant season while keeping cool and energized.
Stay refreshed and enjoy the summer!
]]>Summer should be a time for relaxation, but sometimes it's hard to quiet the mind. Incorporating mindfulness techniques and prayer into your daily routine can work wonders for reducing stress and anxiety. Try setting aside a few minutes each day for deep breathing exercises, meditation on God’s word, or simply taking a mindful walk in nature. These practices can help you cultivate a sense of calm and presence, allowing you to fully enjoy the beauty of summer.
Adaptogenic herbs are nature's stress-fighters, helping your body adapt to physical and mental challenges. Consider incorporating adaptogen supplements like Ashwagandha or Rhodiola (like the ingredients in Revvl Restore) into your daily routine to support your body's stress response and promote a sense of balance. These herbal allies can help improve your resilience to stress and provide a gentle boost to your overall well-being.
Sunshine is abundant during the summer, and it brings along the benefits of vitamin D. This essential nutrient plays a crucial role in supporting our mood and overall mental well-being. Spend some time outdoors, soaking up the sun's rays (while practicing sun safety, of course) to naturally increase your vitamin D levels. If sun exposure is limited, consider adding a vitamin D supplement to your daily regimen.
Dehydration can contribute to feelings of fatigue and low energy, which can amplify stress. Keep yourself well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day. You can also incorporate hydrating foods like watermelon, cucumber, and coconut water into your diet. Staying properly hydrated will support your overall energy levels and help you stay refreshed during those hot summer days.
Summer should be a time of self-care and relaxation. Set aside dedicated moments for yourself to engage in activities that bring you joy and relaxation. Whether it's reading a book by the pool, taking a soothing bath with essential oils, or practicing yoga outdoors, prioritize self-care to recharge and rejuvenate your mind and body.
The summer sun can take a toll on our skin, leading to dryness, sunburn, and premature aging. Opt for natural and chemical-free sunscreens to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Additionally, soothe and nourish your skin when you're in the shade with natural remedies like aloe vera gel, coconut oil, and antioxidant-rich foods like berries and leafy greens.
Spending time in nature can have a profound impact on our overall well-being. Take advantage of the longer days and warmer weather by exploring nearby parks, forests, or beaches. Engaging with the natural world can help reduce stress, boost your mood, and promote a sense of peace and serenity.
Cultivating a gratitude practice can shift your focus from stress to appreciation. Each day, take a moment to reflect on the things you are grateful for. This simple practice can help reframe your mindset, reduce anxiety, and foster a sense of contentment.
Regular exercise is a powerful stress reliever. Find activities that you enjoy, whether it's swimming, hiking, or practicing yoga, and make them a regular part of your routine. Exercise releases endorphins, promotes better sleep, and boosts your overall mood, making it an essential tool in managing summer stresses.
If you find that stress and anxiety are significantly impacting your daily life, don't hesitate to seek support from a healthcare professional or a licensed therapist. They can provide guidance, support, and additional natural solutions tailored to your specific needs.
Don't let summer stressors overshadow the joy of the season. By incorporating these natural health solutions into your daily routine, you can navigate the summer with a renewed sense of calm and well-being. Embrace self-care, connect with nature, and prioritize your mental and physical health. Remember, a stress-free summer is within your reach, and with these gentle holistic approaches, you can truly make the most of this beautiful season.
]]>The bond between a mother and child is one of the most significant relationships in a person's life. However, it is not uncommon for this relationship to be marred by past wounds, conflicts, and emotional baggage. The power of forgiveness can be transformative, offering a path to healing and building stronger connections with your mom.
]]>In this article, we will explore strategies for healing past wounds and nurturing a healthier relationship with your mom through forgiveness. By drawing from the insights discussed in our latest podcast episode, we will delve into the importance of empathy, self-reflection, effective communication, and seeking professional support. Let's embark on a journey of forgiveness, understanding, and growth – together!
Forgiveness is a powerful tool that allows us to let go of past hurts and move forward with renewed strength. By actively choosing to forgive someone, we are able to free ourselves from the burden of anger, resentment, and pain. But sometimes forgiveness gets a bad wrap. To clarify: it is NOT about condoning the actions that caused the wounds but rather about releasing ourselves from their emotional grip. The process of forgiveness promotes emotional well-being, reduces stress, and improves overall mental health.
Family dynamics play a significant role in shaping our relationships, including the one we share with our mothers. Unresolved conflicts and emotional wounds can strain this important bond, and understanding the underlying dynamics and exploring the root causes of the wounds is crucial for healing.
By delving into the past, we can gain insights into the factors that may have contributed to the strain in the relationship. Then, recognizing the impact of these wounds and their consequences can be the first step towards real, whole-hearted forgiveness.
Empathy and compassion are two essential ingredients for healing and rebuilding connections with your mom. By using your imagination to put yourself in her shoes and seek to understand her perspective can help you foster this empathy and compassion. It allows you to “zoom out” and view the situation from a broader and more objective perspective, promoting forgiveness and opening the door for healing conversations.
Also, it’s important to note that practicing self-compassion during this process is vital. Forgiving yourself for any mistakes or shortcomings that might have contributed to the strained relationship with your mom is essential for personal growth and the forgiveness of others.
Healing past wounds and building stronger connections with your mom requires intentional effort and a clear strategy. Oh, and effective communication is key. Effectively expressing your emotions and concerns in a calm and constructive manner can facilitate better understanding and potentially even resolution. It is essential to choose the right time and place for these conversations, ensuring that both parties are open and receptive.
Also, remember that it isn’t always WHAT you say, but more often HOW and WHEN you say it that matters.
Rebuilding trust is a gradual process that requires understanding, consistency and patience. Small acts of kindness and support can go a very long way in rebuilding the bond with your mom. Setting healthy boundaries, giving yourself the time or space to process emotions, and managing expectations is also crucial.
Recognizing that your mom is human, with her flaws and limitations, can help manage your own unrealistic expectations and reduce disappointment on both sides of the relationship.
Self-reflection is another powerful tool for cultivating forgiveness. Take time to introspect and evaluate your own emotions, beliefs, and actions to identify any patterns or triggers that may contribute to conflicts.
By understanding yourself better, you can gain clarity in the areas where you need to ask for forgiveness and be committed to growth in that area. And remember: you will never truly be able to forgive someone else unless you are able to practice self-forgiveness, as we are all imperfect and make mistakes.
Personal growth is an integral part of the forgiveness process. Explore personal development resources, take the first step with therapy or counseling, or seek support from trusted friends or mentors whose discernment is good. Over time, working on your own growth can and will positively impact your relationship with your mom.
Sometimes, the healing process requires professional help. Therapy or counseling can provide a safe and supportive environment to navigate complex emotions and conflicts. A trained therapist can guide you through the forgiveness process, offering tools and techniques tailored to your unique situation. They can help you gain insights, develop effective communication skills, and provide strategies for rebuilding the connection with your mom.
Support groups or workshops focused on family dynamics and forgiveness can also be beneficial. Connecting with others who have gone through similar experiences can provide validation, empathy, and practical advice. Sharing your journey and listening to the stories of others can inspire hope and encourage growth.
In addition to exploring the power of forgiveness, it's important to acknowledge the value of simpler solutions for managing emotional stress. Incorporating adaptogenic herbs into your daily routine can provide support and balance during these challenging times. Three notable adaptogens to consider are Ashwagandha, Rhodiola Rosea, and Cordyceps.
Ashwagandha, known for its calming properties, has been traditionally used to reduce stress and promote a sense of overall well-being. It can help regulate your Cortisol levels, which play a role in managing stress responses.
Rhodiola Rosea, another adaptogenic herb, is renowned for its ability to enhance mental and physical resilience. It can assist in reducing fatigue, improving mood, and promoting cognitive function, allowing you to navigate the demands of your daily life more effectively and give you more capacity to handle stressful situations.
Cordyceps, a unique adaptogenic mushroom, offers a myriad of benefits. It supports energy levels, boosts endurance, and enhances overall vitality. Cordyceps can be particularly valuable when you're juggling various roles and responsibilities, providing you with the stamina needed to thrive.
Incorporating these adaptogenic herbs into your wellness routine, alongside forgiveness practices, can offer a comprehensive approach to nurturing your emotional well-being and building stronger connections with your spouse, your family, and your friends. Talk with your primary healthcare provider about adding these herbs to your everyday physical and mental health regimen!

In this blog post, we will explore the anti-inflammatory benefits of bromelain and how it complements the inflammation-reducing ingredients found in Revvl Recover.
Revvl Recover is a dietary supplement specifically designed to provide natural anti-inflammatory support.
The formula contains powerful ingredients: Proteolytic enzymes (like bromelain), ginger root, turmeric, Ashwagandha, Rhodiola Rosea, and cordyceps.
Each ingredient found in Revvl Recover provides unique health benefits to reduce inflammation and support joints:
The combination of these natural anti-inflammatory ingredients works together to reduce inflammation and support healthy joints, but let's take a closer look at a lesser-known enzyme found in the Revvl Recover formula: bromelain.
Bromelain is a protein-digesting enzyme derived from the pineapple plant's stem, fruit, and juice. It is categorized as a dietary supplement and is generally recognized as safe by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Bromelain may be used topically or orally to reduce inflammation and swelling.
Studies have indicated that bromelain offers several potential health benefits:
Research indicates other potential benefits of bromelain include the safe removal of damaged tissue due to severe burns (when applied topically), effectiveness in treating various cardiovascular conditions, and potential cancer-fighting properties.
Bromelain doses range from 80–400 milligrams per serving, two to three times per day. You can take bromelain with meals or on an empty stomach. Discussing appropriate dosing with your doctor before taking any new supplement is essential.
Bromelain is an enzyme found in pineapples; however, obtaining a therapeutic dose of bromelain from food alone may be difficult. For those looking to benefit from the anti-inflammatory effects of bromelain, Revvl Recover is an ideal solution.
When taken daily, Revvl Recover gives your body a concentrated dose of bromelain, allowing you to take advantage of its anti-inflammatory benefits. The supplement also includes other natural ingredients such as ginger root, turmeric, Ashwagandha, Rhodiola Rosea, and cordyceps, which offer additional anti-inflammatory benefits. If you're looking for a natural way to reduce inflammation and support your joints and muscles, look no further than Revvl Recover.

An article in the New York Times discussed three major reasons that we fail when it comes to resolutions. First, we set resolutions based on something that society tells us needs to be changed—not something that we really believe we need to change. Maybe society says you should have a six-pack, but with three children and a full-time job, a sculpted body isn’t really high on your priority list. Secondly, we set goals that aren’t clearly defined. For example, we say, “I want to lose weight.” But we don’t say how much, or how fast, or what method we will use to get there. It’s just wishful thinking. And Thirdly, we fail because we are unrealistic about what it will take to accomplish our resolution.
Resolution experts tell us to set SMART goals. This acronym stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Timely.
This same article in the New York Times advises that we either have too much positive thinking or too little self-forgiveness, or both. In other words, we are often our own worst enemy when it comes to achievement and success. Professor Oettingen of NYU claims that fantasizing excessively about future success can hinder actual achievement. Optimism doesn’t equal achievement. Busyness doesn’t equal productivity. Be sure you are taking concrete steps every day to accomplish your goals. When you fall off the wagon (as you inevitably will), remember not to wallow. Get back on the wagon and start again! No excuses.
Here at Revvl Health, we are here to help support you while you achieve your health goals. These are eight SMART goals with clearly defined action steps that will help you address the stress in your life. Why would you want to do that? Because chronic stress and dysfunction of the stress response is responsible for all the modern dis-eases that we struggle with. Obesity, high triglycerides, hypertension, infertility and sexual dysfunction, ADHD, brain fog, memory issues, Alzheimer’s, Migraines, and on the list goes. Each of these conditions can be made much worse by excessive amounts of manageable stress in your life!
If you’d like some support from our team, download the Revvl Health app and connect with us today! We will send you action steps every week that will keep you on track with this simple, but profound goal in mind: A healthier life is absolutely possible!
]]>While these are all fun traditions that you have created with your family, you find yourself looking forward to it all being done so you can stop feeling so stressed out!
But it's actually a good thing that you’re aware of the tension and stress that can stack up around the holidays. Many of the suggestions we read for relieving stress are best done in your own time and on your own turf, but that doesn’t really help you when you’re on the road visiting family, at the office Christmas party or trapped listening to your over-talkative relative in your mother’s tiny kitchen.
So, in the name of a restful holiday season, here are seven suggestions that can be done “on the fly” when you feel your body or brain getting stressed out:
If possible, obtain high quality essential oils in these basic formulas. These particular scents have been shown to relieve stress and give a strong sense of well-being and calm.
This can be done almost anywhere, at any time. Even in a restaurant you can order lemon with your water, and give it a good squeeze into your water!
If you are walking into a particularly stressful family situation that is fraught with conflict (say after a messy divorce, or an even messier extended-family gathering), suggest that you have the meal or get-together at a restaurant, café, or other public venue.
Most people are reluctant to get into heated arguments or raise their voices when in public. The shame factor usually kicks in and people tend to be on their best behavior in front of outsiders.
Whether it’s first thing in the morning or later in the afternoon, It’s better to eat a meal or snack before drinking coffee on an empty stomach.
Food allows you to avoid the spike in blood sugar that occurs when caffeine hits your system. Usually, after your blood sugar spikes, you can expect to feel jittery and irritated. This isn’t a good combination if you are trying to avoid stress!
The reason airlines make you turn off your electronic devices is that they interfere with vital signals coming from the airport tower, from other flight crews, and from their own internal controls.
The wise person will look at that and make the analogy that constantly being on alert to the “pings” of electronic alerts, calls, texts, tweets, Facebook alerts, game alerts…on and on, creates a type of hypervigilance that triggers the stress mechanism in our brains. If you truly want a day of rest, turn off the electronic devices or put them on “Do Not Disturb” while you’re spending time with people that you enjoy.
Listening to music relaxes blood vessels and increases blood flow to the brain. When music that you love calls up fond or cherished memories, endorphins are released, and stress is reduced.
Conversely, listening to music that calls up bad memories will create negative thoughts and emotions; so avoid the sad or angry playlists as best you can.
The fleshy pad between your thumb and pointer finger is a trigger point for tension. If you are in a stressful situation, no one will notice you massaging one hand with the other.
With either constant pressure or a light massaging of this area, you will feel a reduction in upper body stress and tension. This works great for tension headaches as well!
Whatever it takes to give you a great, big belly laugh, do it. Watch funny movies, read a funny book, tell jokes around the table, play a fun board game together, or remember funny childhood stories of holidays past.
Just laugh. Finding the humor in things or situations reduces stress hormones and actually helps boost immune system functions.
]]>Here are 12 simple ways to reduce your holiday stress and inspire your friends or family with your healthy choices this season:
Both fortunately and unfortunately, there are no extra “brownie points'' received for the person who hosts the holidays every year. So, It’s okay to give yourself permission to pass the torch on hosting this year! The stress of hosting any family event can have a negative effect on your physical, mental, and emotional health. And this can ultimately have a negative effect on your family’s overall experience of the holidays.
There is nothing wrong with finding the courage to tell your friends or family that you need a break from hosting this year. Rotate the responsibility and help others pass on your family traditions!
It’s no secret that certain family members have their holiday “signatures.” Your aunt makes the best pecan pie, your cousin makes the best macaroni and cheese, and your grandmother always makes the turkey… and you probably have your task, too. But over time, you can come to feel chained to this unspoken, holiday expectation. Which is why you should teach someone else how to do it – your child, a small cousin, a spouse, a friend, anyone.
Not only does “teaching” this holiday task bring new life to the process, but it is also a great way to spend some quality time with someone that you love. This sort of teaching moment is exactly how traditions get passed on to the next generation.
The kids table is actually the best place to be during holiday functions. Not only are there very few political discussions, but they tend to have a lot more carefree conversation than the adults’ table.
If you feel yourself getting tense or feeling some anxiety because of the conversation (spoken or non) at the adults table, we recommend taking a seat with the younger members of your family to regain some perspective.
Holiday celebrations can be long, drawn out, and full of social interaction. Which is great – as long as you have the capacity to handle all of the family dynamics and conversation that takes place.
If you know that your social battery will run out sooner than others, try staying in a hotel instead of the home where everything is being hosted so that you and your immediate family members can rest and “regroup” before heading once more into the holiday fray.
If a hotel is out of the question for you, then pack some warm winter clothes, warm shoes, and find some time to step outside of the house for a bit.
Movement (or “proprioception”) is a great way to relieve some of your holiday stress. Try suggesting to some of your friends or family members to take a pre or post-meal walk to relieve some of the physical and mental tension that tends to build up over the holidays.
Like our mothers always told us, it’s best to do this 30 or so minutes before or after you eat so that your body has time to digest your food.
This great quote about holding grudges relates to a very important and effective “holiday stress reliever” : forgiveness.
Holding a grudge is like setting yourself on fire and hoping the other person dies of smoke inhalation. (Chris Hodges, Church of the Highlands)
Conflict, hardship, and painful moments come with living life in a family or close friend group… and while reconciliation may never be possible (or hoped for), forgiving someone for what has already happened is a huge step in letting yourself move forward from the pain or suffering that you once felt toward that friend or family member. Remember this: holding a grudge really only hurts you.
Ask yourself this question: “When I think about my childhood, what do I remember most – the gifts I received or the memories that I had with the people giving the gifts?”
Realizing that the social and cultural pressure around “Santa’s Budget” isn’t the only thing that matters during Christmas time could be the best way to relieve some of your holiday financial stress. As much as your kids would love that “big ticket” item they’ve sent you a link to – they will grow up cherishing the memories that you share with them during the holidays so much more.
A good rule of thumb when feeling pressured to buy something out of your price range is asking the question: “Will this item be useful or cherished over the next 5 to 10 years?” This will not only help you cut back on frivolous items that get only a few uses, but it will also help you increase the quality and thought of your gift-giving this year. And when you’re not sure what to buy, write a letter or plan something for you to enjoy together!
We’ve all done it… you look around your house after deciding to host your family’s holiday events and think: “I guess I need new decorations.”
As amazing as that Walmart or Target run feels at the moment, there is something to be said for the simplicity of enjoying your family’s company for the holidays without stressing about your house looking like it’s straight out of a Hallmark movie. The people who love you and enjoy spending time with you won’t be paying attention to how new your Thanksgiving or Christmas decor is!
Counter to the America’s Christmas anthem, “Run Run Rudolph,” the holiday season should be a time to slow down and remember the year that you’ve spent with the people whom you love most. A great way to reduce seasonal stress is by prioritizing some mental, physical, and spiritual rest.
This could look like spending more time reading, journaling and praying in faith; sharing this year’s testimony with someone; or even simply attending services at your local place of worship. Fellowship is a vital part of our spiritual health.
Did you know that giving a gift can actually release oxytocin (the “love hormone”)? Giving a gift to your host or hostess this year can actually leave you feeling more connected, happier, and less-stressed.
And if money is an issue, a simple card with a heart-felt note can achieve the same result as a physical gift (and is a nice touch for those whose love language is “words of encouragement.”)
Words have the power to make or break a family gathering – there is no doubt about it. But negativity and fear of the future doesn’t have to be the primary topic of conversation around you!
If you catch your friends or family leaning on the negative side of things, try politely redirecting the conversation in a positive direction. Also, instead of gossip, try empathizing with the person’s current situation! While this may not ensure the conversation continues, it will reduce the amount of negative thoughts that you have to consider this holiday season. Remember this: joyful people speak about joyful things!
Just because you’re not hosting the party yourself, doesn’t mean that you can’t help in some very important ways. Before getting to your host or hostess’s home, check to see if there is anything that they forgot that you can bring to help! Or, once you’ve arrived, ask if there is anything that you can do to help – stirring, taking the trash out, distracting the children, setting the table, “taste testing,” and/or just being there for their moral support!
Taking your mind off of you and/or your situation can greatly improve your overall mood and put a smile on the face of others.
Spending time with family during the holidays ranks as one of the most stressful events of the year. Many different aspects contribute to this stress—too much noise, too little exercise, eating the wrong foods that trigger mood swings, boredom, comparisons, jealousy, personal conflict with family members, overspending financially, and so on. But this does not have to be your story for this year!
]]>But what exactly qualifies as a microstressor?
Rob Cross, Jean Singer, and Karen Dillon published an article in Harvard Business Review in July 2020 about micro-stresses based on what they learned through extensive research over a decade.
They identified 12 micro-stresses arising directly from our interactions with others at work or home. They categorized these into three types:
The term micro-stressor is an event that causes stress in one's life but isn't necessarily considered traumatic or life-threatening. These stressors occur from everyday moments that weigh us down, like having a Zoom meeting that goes longer than expected, getting cut off in traffic, or coming home to find someone has left the dishes in the sink and the dishwasher empty.
It's often the little things, in isolation, that don't feel as if they matter much, but if you combine them, they can have a powerful effect leading to symptoms of chronic stress:
And the list goes on!
The effects of micro-stress on the body are detrimental to our health and wellbeing. To combat these stressors, it's crucial to have a plan in place. And as a busy person, maintaining a strong physical and emotional capacity is essential.
Here are three tips that can help you stay happy, healthy, and productive throughout your day.
Sleep is essential for the body to function correctly. We need rest to repair tissues, maintain a healthy metabolism, and regulate our mood. Sleep deprivation can lead to various health problems, such as heart disease, diabetes, stroke, and depression.
The effects of micro-stress on the body can lead to inadequate rest. And when micro-stressors wear down emotional reserves and capacity, rest becomes even more critical. Why? Because well-rested people have a better capacity for resilience in handling stress.
Adaptogenic herbs help the body deal with stress by balancing the hormonal response.
Finding an adaptogen that's right for you can be tricky, but some common ones work well for many people: Ashwagandha, Rhodiola Rosea, Cordyceps, and more. Many find that a blend of adaptogenic herbs works well, which can be found in supplements like Revvl Restore.
The effects of micro-stress on the body can be lessened or eliminated by putting too much focus on the tedious details of everyday life. Whether its a snarky email, an unexpected obstacle, or the day just simply can’t stay “on track” with your expectations – these don’t have to hold you back from enjoying more of life.
When feeling overwhelmed, take a few deep breaths and ask yourself (honestly) what this annoying but minor detail is really triggering inside of you heart or mind. Once you identify the bigger insecurity or negative emotion, give yourself a new quote, truth, or bible verse to replace the original thought about yourself or others.
Reframing your thoughts quickly and simply can help you change your perspective and ultimately feel better, faster.
As the pace of life accelerates, the level and frequency of micro-stressors in our lives can take a toll on our wellbeing.
The following are three solutions to help busy people cope with their micro-stressors: Adaptogenic Herbs, Prioritizing Sleep (well-rested people have a better capacity for handling stress), and a reframed perspective.
As a person who does everything for their family, friends, and/or team – it’s important to feel your absolute best. What will you do to prioritize yourself today?

]]>Stress isn't always easy to recognize, especially when it's experienced over an extended period. Although the symptoms will vary from person to person, here are the three most common types of stress that many people encounter on a daily basis.
]]>Stress is a normal, healthy human response to a challenging situation. When you experience challenging changes or new stressors, your body releases physical and mental responses we refer to as stress.
It is essential to be aware of your body's natural reactions to stress; in some instances, it helps keep you alert, motivated, and able to handle challenges better. If you have an important meeting, your body might respond with motivation to work harder and stay alert longer as you prepare.
But stress becomes a problem when the body cannot return to its homeostatic balance. If the stressors never let up, and your body doesn't have periods of relief, it can lead to adverse effects.
Your body's autonomic nervous system controls your heart rate, breathing, vision changes, and more. Its built-in stress response, called the "fight-or-flight response," helps manage stressful situations. In the moment, acute stress can lead to increased blood pressure, elevated heart rate, dilated pupils, and a sense of irritability.
A person with long-term (chronic) stress develops physical, emotional, and behavioral symptoms due to the constant activation of the stress response.
Over time, traumatic or chronic stress can cause more severe physical symptoms like inflammation or ulcers in the stomach lining or mental-emotional symptoms such as insomnia, flashbacks, depression, anxiety, or panic attacks.
Let’s take a quick look at the three categories of stress, shall we?
Acute stress happens throughout a single event or during a very short time, as might happen in the case of a car accident, preparing for a work presentation, or delivering bad news to someone. If acute stress lasts longer than one month after a traumatic event, this is often considered by professionals to be Acute Stress Disorder (ASD).
Common symptoms of acute stress include:
Chronic stress is persistent. As with chronic pain or chronic illness, chronic stress can increase or decrease in severity but is relatively consistent in its presence.
Several explanations are possible, such as an unhealthy relationship in which arguments are regular or a strenuous and overbearing job that is too demanding.
Chronic stress can take a severe toll on the body over time, affecting physical and mental health. This specific type of stress often lead to many unwanted side effects and leads to a greatly reduced quality of life.
Common symptoms of chronic stress include:
When you're undergoing a stress response, the body releases stress hormones. In general, this is useful, but when released without an immediate threat (especially consistently), it can result in other chronic health issues, such as diabetes and hypertension, as well as mental health conditions like addiction, depression, or anxiety.
In trauma, a stressful situation could be either acute or chronic, with potential implications for both types of stress.
If a traumatic event is an isolated incident, the psychological consequences (such as PTSD) or tangible consequences (such as separation from family) may persist for years.
Some things that cause ongoing stress are extreme poverty, lack of healthcare access, racism, ongoing relational or workplace abuse and discrimination. All these things are traumatic and chronic stressors.
Given that these causes are not solely external or personal but structural or systemic, some of the typical stress relief methods could help manage symptoms in some cases but may not help entirely.
A brief but contained response to stress is entirely natural and will likely subside on its own. Stress is a part of life we all face, but it doesn't have to affect your health.
If you feel like you are stuck in a stressful situation, don't despair. You have options. Whether it be exercise, drawing, counseling for trauma or taking an adaptogen, it is vital to prioritize self-care and learn what works best for you in managing life's stressors.

]]>Stress is a normal, healthy human response to a challenging situation.
In some instances, stress can help keep you alert, motivated, and able to handle challenges better. But when the body cannot find moments of relief or relaxation, stress can severely impact physical and mental health.
Stress is often described as acute, chronic, and traumatic. The difference between these three types of stress is all about the frequency and duration of the event and its impact.
The American Psychological Association has found that nearly half of Americans feel more stressed than five years ago. With so much pressure today, knowing what you're up against is essential.
The most common sources of stress in the United States today fall into five categories: education, finances, family life and relationships, work, and everyday challenges.
In today's world, Americans are bombarded with stressful situations.
The word micro-stressor means an event that might stress an individual but wouldn't necessarily qualify as traumatic or life-threatening. These stressors occur from everyday moments that weigh us down, like getting stuck in traffic or coming home to a messy house.
The simplest way to combat these micro-stressors is by doing something easy like implementing stress relief supplements into your daily routine, prioritizing sleep, and practicing gratitude-based self-care.
Relationship trouble can be one of the most difficult stressors to handle, varying in severity. Regardless of the cause, it's important to remember that no situation is ever hopeless, and there are ways to cope with relationship stress.
One popular way to cope is using stress relief supplements, which can help release happy hormones while providing relaxation and a state of calm. Stress relief supplements can also motivate, focus, and energize you when needed most. Seeking professional help is also beneficial when you and your partner need to work something out.
With the current economic climate, financial concerns are at an all-time high. The average American is living paycheck to paycheck with little to no savings. When you're struggling to meet your basic needs and find yourself relying on debt or family members for help, it's easy to feel like giving up.
With the worry of finances fogging your mind, it can feel impossible to clear away the fog. Connecting with a financial advisor to help set a plan for success can do wonders for wiping away some of the worries.
As an individual, a work deadline is one of the most common sources of stress, but it's also one of the most easily manageable. If you feel like your work deadlines are too much to handle, try to break them into smaller pieces, so they seem more attainable. That way, you can take care of one small chunk at a time instead of feeling overwhelmed by the sheer size and magnitude of the task.
And if you're struggling in the workplace, reach out to a trusted colleague or the human resources department for help brainstorming solutions.
Starting university can be stressful, especially if you are moving away from home for the first time. There are many changes and new experiences, which may lead to feelings of being overwhelmed and anxious. However, starting university can also be an exciting time full of new opportunities to learn and meet life-long friends.
If you feel stressed about starting university or any other change in life, try to find ways to cope that work best for you. And remember, as a new college student, you aren't alone! Share what you're feeling with peers; perhaps, together, you can help each other adjust to all the new changes you're experiencing.
Life throws many curveballs our way, and stress can linger through those ups and downs. And when stress remains, it can feel impossible to shake. Adding a supplement like a blend of adaptogens can help manage stress more effectively.
Adaptogenic herbs help the body deal with stress by balancing the hormonal response caused by life's stressors.
Some of the most common adaptogens that work well for many people are Ashwagandha, Rhodiola Rosea, Cordyceps, and more. Many find that a blend of adaptogenic herbs works well as you benefit from more than one herb. You can find a great example of such a blend in a supplement like Revvl Restore.
Stress has taken enough of your joy and perspective. Prioritize yourself today and see if an adaptogen blend can help you tackle everything life throws your way.

]]>Burnout is a state of emotional, mental, or physical weariness following prolonged stress or anxiety. Though the condition is not currently a medical diagnosis, it’s fairly easy to identify for yourself when you go too far with your work or home life. If you neglect it, there is a higher likelihood that you will eventually face some of the physical and mental health aftereffects.
]]>If you find yourself in a similar condition where you feel stressed out, disheartened, over encumbered by too much pressure, then you may be on the route to burnout. In this article, we will be telling you about physical and mental health risks associated with burnout, whether you're a working individual or a home dweller, and how you can unleash yourself from that.
Additionally, we will also discuss how you can avoid future burnout by employing some simple and effective solutions.
Burnout is a state of emotional, mental, or physical weariness following prolonged stress or anxiety. Though the condition is not currently a medical diagnosis, it’s fairly easy to identify for yourself when you go too far with your work or home life. If you neglect it, there is a higher likelihood that you will eventually face some of the physical and mental health aftereffects.
According to one study, burnout is the leading cause of individuals being incapable of performing well in their workspace.1 There may be several causes behind this state of exhaustion. For instance, it may be due to poor self-care, interpersonal matters with friends or family, or your incapacity to endure more work. But no matter what circumstances have lead you to feeling burned out, there is hope.
The interesting part about burnout is that; it will not happen overnight but will exhibit its signs gradually. Burnout indications are subtle in the beginning, but if they go unaddressed, they worsen with time. Therefore you need to look keenly and work on it to minimize a major breakdown.
If you are experiencing burnout, there are either of the symptoms that you may relate to well;
Still, many risks are there, which you need to be acquainted with and uplift yourself by paying attention to both self-care and self-awareness.
Burnout may affect your thought process as a whole. As a result, you will experience not only frustration or exhaustion but also pessimism.
When you're surrounded by sentiments of negativity, your likelihood of proceeding toward depression is also more. This depression can make the day difficult for you.
According to the findings of Miss Evie Michailidis and Dr. Adrian Banks, it is more likely to observe that workers with feelings of exhaustion avoid making decisions or are irrational decision-makers.2
The worst effect of burnout on your mind is your inability to focus. As you feel swamped, it becomes back against the wall to preserve your attention leading to productivity loss.
The major risk that burnout may put you at is consistent sluggishness. This fatigue will only leave you overthinking things you have no control over.
According to the Mayo Clinic, burnout may also have a profound impact on your body. For example, it will make you experience bowel complications, headaches, muscle pain, or other complaints.
Feelings of frustration or burnout may exploit your eating habits as well. As a result, you may suffer a loss of appetite or a state of nausea.
Getting entangled in your own loop of thoughts that you can't afford to sleep is the most disturbing part. But unfortunately, this is what insomnia resulting from burnout looks like that you cannot escape voluntarily.
Anxiety elevates the cortisol level in the human body, which in turn is responsible for the partial regulation of inflammation. As a result, the individual is more likely to experience illnesses like cancer, diabetes, and metabolic syndromes in the long run.
It is not a quick process to recover from burnout but rather time-taking. Moreover, as the problem is internal, tracking the root cause also gets difficult. However, we've gathered a few steps that may aid you in regaining your balance towards a positive and hopeful life experience.
You can't recover from something you cannot witness the problem in. For this reason, the journey of avoiding burnout begins when you take the time to reflect and analyze what's holding you back.
Take a gap from all your activities and give your body space the time it needs. By doing so, you allow yourself to relax and gather your energy at one point again.
Pay close attention to what triggers your stress levels and try to keep yourself distant and avoid interactions with them. Turn a blind eye to people, situations, or incidents around you that cause you to be at unease and avoid them as much as you can.
Despite working long hours or worrying about what is hard for you, remain honest with your boss or manager and speak up for your own self. There's nothing odd in creating change that may serve your emotional and mental needs.
One of the basic causes of burnout is a person's inability to meet up with a work-life balance. Managing your work and life activities side by side will not only avoid burnout, but you will be living a pleasant life.
Lack of sleep due to burnout poses serious hazards to your mental concentration, emotional stamina, and physical strength. Make sure to sleep for six to nine hours every night.
Adaptogenic herbs serve as an excellent harm-free aid to help your body recover from the clutches of stress and burnout. A few adaptogens are listed below that are beneficial in their own way to cut off the risks associated with burnout.
You can also opt for our supplements as per directed by the physician. Our supplements are blended with a touch of adaptogens. You will plenty of supplements for the exact problem you’re facing, whether it be Stress (Revvl Restore), Sleep (Revvl Sleep), Immunity (Revvl Immune), Energy (Revvl Energy), or Inflammation (Revvl Recover).
Burnout can zap the joy out of your life, but things don’t have to be this way. Taking a few precautions, setting some boundaries and taking supplementary or professional help where needed can save you from the harms of burnout and change the course of your life for the better.
As a maturing woman, you may notice new symptoms due to bodily changes as you age. The perimenopause or menopause transition period can deliver weight gain, difficulty sleeping, vitamin deficiencies, and more. The good news? You can get ahead of these symptoms to feel your best and age like a fine wine. Keep reading to learn how to support your health through every phase of older womanhood.
]]>The good news? You can get ahead of these symptoms to feel your best and age like a fine wine. Keep reading to learn how to support your health through every phase of older womanhood.
As we age, our sleep patterns change. Older women need more sleep than when they were younger because their bodies are changing, such as pre-and post-menopause. Older women should aim for 7-9 hours of sleep every night to maintain good health.
As you age, you need healthy foods, but with fewer calories. Your healthcare provider and the updated Choose My Plate for Older Adults site can help you make good choices.
Here are a few tips to help you eat like the rainbow:
As we age, our bodies undergo changes that can lead to vitamin deficiencies. Specifically, vitamin B is one of the most common deficiencies in older women. According to research, older adults are particularly vulnerable to vitamin B12 deficiency due to malabsorption and anemia.
Adding a supplement to your daily health routine may help prevent the risks involved with vitamin deficiencies. We recommend trying Revvl Energy – a B-Vitamin complex that is blended with adaptogens for additional energy support.
To maintain good health, older women need to be aware of their health risks and take steps to prevent them. One way to prevent illness and age like a fine wine is to include adaptogens in your health routine.
Adaptogens are herbs that help the body adapt to stress and promote balance. They can help alleviate some health issues with aging, such as fatigue, anxiety, and hot flashes.
Check out five common reasons older women turn to adaptogens below.
One common health concern for women as they age is fatigue. This fatigue can be caused by various factors, including post-menopause, poor nutrition, and lack of exercise. Adaptogens can restore balance in your body to boost energy when you need it most.
As we age, our sleep patterns change. It becomes harder to fall asleep and stay asleep due to pre-menopause or other health issues. Promoting better sleep is essential for good health in older women. Adaptogens can fight back against the stressors, keeping you up at night to ensure you get the restful sleep you need and deserve.
As we age, our bodies go through changes that can sometimes be stressful. For example, pre-menopause can be a time of significant hormonal fluctuations, leading to anxiety and other mood changes. However, adaptogens can create homeostasis in the body and level out some fluctuating stress and emotions that pop up daily.
Chronic inflammation has been linked to everything from heart disease and cancer to Alzheimer's and depression. While there are several things you can do to reduce inflammation (like eating more anti-inflammatory foods and exercising), research suggests adding an adaptogen or two to your daily routine is another optimal solution.
As we age, our immune system weakens, making us more susceptible to colds and other illnesses. Research indicates that adaptogens interact with the immune-neuro-endocrine system, helping the body maintain energy levels and fight illness.
Adaptogens can be a great addition to the health routines of older women to help alleviate and prevent some health issues. By taking these steps, we can age like fine wine – with good health!

[6] A preliminary review of studies on adaptogens: comparison of their bioactivity in TCM with that of ginseng-like herbs used worldwide - PMC]]>Now that "Back-to-School" season is nearly here, it's time to start thinking about effective ways to boost your child's diet and strengthen their immune systems. Finding the right supplements and healthy foods is a powerful way to help set your child up for success as they get ready for another memorable school year. Following are several vitamins and minerals you should consider adding to your child's diet or supplement regimen to stay healthy throughout cold and flu season.
Elderberries contain high levels of antioxidants, which are known for their immunity-boosting properties. Studies have shown their efficacy in boosting the immune system in airline passengers and helping to reduce their chances of becoming ill while traveling. They can also reduce levels of harmful inflammatory responses, which are known to disrupt the immune system response.
While many people are familiar with probiotics and how important they are to digestive health, most may not be familiar with the powerful role they play in the immune system response. Probiotics give an extra boost to immune cells and decrease the severity of cold and flu symptoms. Some of the best sources for probiotics include yogurt, kombucha, sourdough bread, and some types of cheeses.
This potent flavonoid is mainly found in plants and fruits and contains mighty cancer-fighting and immunity-boosting properties. Because it can be challenging for most people to get the amount of quercetin they need to receive full benefits, some studies have shown that taking a supplement can be just as effective.
Magnesium levels play a large part in determining the health of a person's immune system. If a person is ill and their magnesium levels are too low, this can cause what's known as a "cytokinetic storm." This condition causes healthy immune system cells to stop attacking invading cells and start attacking each other instead. You can boost your magnesium levels by adding leafy vegetables, legumes, beans, and milk to your diet or by taking a magnesium supplement.
Iron deficiency can severely weaken a person's immune system response and can make them more susceptible to falling ill, especially during cold and flu season. The immune system requires a healthy level of iron to fight off viruses and prevent additional complications. Iron supplements can help increase a person's iron levels. However, red meat, pork, chicken, and beans are excellent sources of iron, as well.
Vitamin C is one of the most well-known immune-boosting vitamins and is mainly found in citrus, strawberries, tomatoes, and potatoes. Vitamin C works to support the immune system by enhancing phagocytosis and protecting the immune system from the damaging effects of free radicals.
Zinc has a direct effect on the health of immune system cells and maintaining a robust immune response, especially during times of stress. Studies show that zinc affects many essential components of the immune system, and not having enough of it can cause people to become susceptible to illness. Adding a zinc supplement can be particularly beneficial for those who experience zinc deficiency.
Adaptogens provide a boost in the immune system's ability to fight off free radicals and increase protection from stress within healthy immune cells. Ashwagandha is one of the most powerful and well-researched adaptogens on the market and can help keep people healthy throughout cold and flu season. Try finding a supplement that uses both the aerial parts (leaves) and the root of the Ashwagandha plant – this will boost the overall efficacy.
While vitamin D is essential for bone health and mental health, it is also vital for proper immune system function. The body is capable of producing its own vitamin D. However, people need a proper amount of sunlight to be able to complete this process. Many people who spend most of their time inside or live in cloudier climates benefit from adding vitamin D supplements to their regimen.
Vitamins B6 and B12 work together to create a robust and healthy immune response. They are also helpful in reducing the severity of symptoms when a person becomes ill. Excellent sources of B6 and B12 vitamins include fortified breakfast cereals, eggs, dairy, and leafy greens.
While it can be difficult to add all of these foods to your family's diet, there are other convenient ways to boost their immune system. Consider purchasing a supplement like Revvi Immune. This supplement includes a well-balanced mix of vitamins and minerals to boost the immune systems of your household without having to make extreme dietary changes.
Not only will adding these nutrients and/or supplements help keep your child healthy in the classroom, but they can also help keep the rest of your family healthy.

Read on to learn more about the three essential adaptogens for manhood and how they can help you stay strong, vital, and virile throughout your life!
Adaptogens are natural, non-toxic herbs that your body can use to reduce stress, increase vitality, and support aging for both younger and older men.
Adaptogens are active substances found in plants and mushrooms that act on targeted stressors in the body when consumed. An adaptogen must possess three essential characteristics:
The purpose of taking adaptogens is to find a new state of balance (also known as homeostasis). This regenerative process occurs through the herbs' ability to enhance or counteract bodily chemical reactions.
Men often struggle with things like poor sleep, low testosterone, low back pain, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol due to chronic physical, emotional, and nutritional stress over time. Adaptogens can help alleviate some of these bothersome symptoms. Because they actively respond to your body's unique needs for restored homeostasis, you can use them whether you're 18 or 80. A few popular adaptogens for men's health are Rhodiola, Ashwagandha, and Cordyceps.
Rhodiola, also called golden root, grows in the arctic regions of Asia and Eastern Europe. The plant is essential to Traditional Chinese Medicine and was used by Vikings to increase stamina and cope with exposure. Today, it is a beneficial adaptogen for men's health with several key benefits.
First, Rhodiola research suggests the adaptogen can improve sports performance by reducing fatigue and increasing antioxidant activity. Rhodiola may also increase the body's resistance to stress, allowing you to manage stressful times better. And stress is an experience every man knows well, no matter his age.
Stress is one of many factors contributing to fatigue and other symptoms of physical and mental exhaustion. Therefore, Rhodiola's adaptogenic properties may also help to minimize fatigue.
In one study, 100 people with chronic fatigue symptoms were given 400 mg of Rhodiola daily for eight weeks. These people reported experiencing improvements in stress symptoms, fatigue, quality of life, mood, and concentration.
Lastly, Rhodiola can boost libido and may potentially help those experiencing premature ejaculation. Experts hypothesize that the adaptogen enhances sex drive by tapping into the brain's dopamine system. People who use Rhodiola for this purpose find their overall sexual satisfaction to be more significant, with improved erections and heightened response to orgasm.
Ashwagandha is native to Asia, specifically India and China, where it is used in Ayurvedic medicine. Researchers have shown that ashwagandha can help lower oxidative stress, a precursor to accelerated aging, and improve energy and endurance. It can also drastically improve one's ability to manage anxiety and stress.
Ashwagandha may also increase muscle strength. In one study, male participants who took 600 mg of ashwagandha per day and participated in a series of resistance training sessions increased their muscle strength and size relative to those taking a placebo.
Additionally, research suggests ashwagandha has the ability to increase fertility and testosterone in men.Researchers observed 43 overweight men between the ages of 40 and 70 who had mild fatigue. They took ashwagandha extract or a placebo daily for eight weeks. Those who took ashwagandha had an 18% increase in one sex hormone required for producing testosterone, with a 14% increase in overall testosterone.
Further research suggests that ashwagandha can increase semen volume and sperm motility in men with low to normal sperm counts.
Lastly, this adaptogen can potentially reduce inflammation--an ailment every man experiences, no matter what stage of manhood he is in. It is also one of the best adaptogens for sleep, known for soothing anxiety-induced insomnia.
This adaptogen, considered a long-time staple of Chinese medicine, comes from a surprising source--a fungus that grows on caterpillars. Some people use it to gain an energy boost, while others use it to promote sexual function.
Emerging research suggests Cordyceps may have anti-aging properties due to its high antioxidant content. By neutralizing free radicals, antioxidants prevent cell damage, contributing to the prevention of disease and aging.
In one study, mice given Cordyceps lived several months longer than mice given a placebo. And another study showed that Cordyceps was linked to increased longevity for fruit flies, suggesting that the plant does have anti-aging properties.
On top of its potential anti-aging capabilities, Cordyceps may also promote liver and heart health, fight inflammation, and boost physical exercise performance.
Ashwagandha, Cordyceps, and Rhodiola are all adaptogens that can help men with poor sleep, low testosterone, back pain, inflammation, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. Blending these natural remedies' potent, supportive properties can ensure optimal health benefits across your lifespan.
Revvl RESTORE is a powerful blend of adaptogens that promotes physiological resilience through these three powerful adaptogens. RESTORE provides the foundation for healthy living, something that every man deserves.

]]>Your health and your sleep go hand in hand. But did you know that good sleep can also improve your problem-solving skills? If you're having trouble with your work right now, paying attention to how well you're sleeping could be one of the most important steps toward finding answers and solving problems faster, better, and more creatively than ever.
]]>Here are a few ways poor sleep can affect your problem-solving skills and what you can do to improve it.
Poor sleep may take the form of either short sleep duration or fragmented sleep. Sleep cycles are disrupted and challenging to maintain with too little and too much sleep.
Without adequate rest, the brain struggles to perform appropriately. Because neurons can't recover, they become overworked and perform poorly across any thinking. Here are three ways poor sleep can affect your physical health, cognition, and problem-solving skills.
We've all felt the physical strain of poor sleep--general fatigue, muscle aches, and so on. But there are also long-term physical impacts of inadequate sleep.
If you're not getting enough quality sleep, it can affect your ability to solve problems both at work and in your personal life.
Research indicates that one night of disrupted sleep will leave you sleep-deprived and impaired. Most notably, sleep deprivation can have some of the same effects as alcohol, like fuzzy thinking and slow reaction time.
Sleep deprivation can have some sweeping, significant effects on cognition (aka thinking). Experimental Brain Research published a study in which 18 men completed a task after a whole night's sleep. Then, they completed a task after losing a night of sleep. Brain functions like memory, decision-making, reasoning, and problem-solving, as well as reaction time and alertness, deteriorated.
Research also suggests that sleep affects your ability to learn and memorize things. Rest is necessary to transfer new memories into long-term storage and stabilize existing memories. In other words, we need sleep to cement memories in place.
You are not alone if you have a sleep disorder, bouts of insomnia or sleeplessness, or can't create a solid schedule due to a busy lifestyle. The key to unlocking restful sleep is to find products that support sleep health and make positive lifestyle changes. Doing so will help to improve the quality of your sleep instead of the quantity.
Here are a few of our favorite tips to consider when striving to improve sleep (and decision-making):
Consistency is critical in winning the "sleep game" because it allows your body to create a pattern and establish a productive sleep cycle. Creating a consistent sleep pattern could include:
Melatonin is typically the first solution people turn to for remedying sleeplessness. It's a great short-term fix but can eventually lead to dependence; slowing down the body's natural production of melatonin.
Adaptogen blends can help improve sleep without building a never-ending dependence by addressing stress and supporting the body's natural sleep cycle. Revvl Sleep contains ingredients like Ashwagandha, Cordyceps, Lemon Balm, Chamomile, and more to help you sleep without melatonin. This unique, adaptogen blend gets to the root cause of sleeplessness: stress.
We spend nearly one-third of our lives asleep, so creating a space that promotes healthy and productive rest is essential. A few ways to spruce up your space to promote sleep hygiene are to cool the room, block out light and sound, say goodbye to the electronics, maintain fresh pillows and bedding, and eliminate clutter.
If you're sick of dragging your feet and going about your day with exhausting brain fog, mix up your routine, spruce up your space, and swap out melatonin for an adaptogen blend like Revvl Sleep. Your brain (and all those high-level business decisions) will thank you.

]]>Stress can take its toll on your energy and performance levels, making it challenging to meet your health and fitness goals. Thankfully, some natural stress relief options can help improve your well-being while also giving you the energy needed to make time in your busy schedule. Cordyceps have been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries to reduce stress and increase energy levels, but how can you make them work for you?
]]>Cordyceps have been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries to reduce stress and increase energy levels, but how can you make them work for you?
Cordyceps is a fungus that grows on the back of certain insects. To date, more than 350 species of the Cordyceps have been identified in over sixty different countries around the world. According to the 1964 Chinese Pharmacopeia, Cordyceps Sinensis is registered as the only herbal drug.
Today, C. Sinensis remains one of Traditional Chinese Medicine's most famous medicinal mushrooms.
Under the theory of Chinese medicine, C. Sinensis is believed to have a sweet taste and neutral properties. People can use it to nourish the kidneys, soothe the lungs, stop bleeding, and eliminate excessive phlegm in the body. Cordyceps Sinensis has been used to treat fatigue, cough, low sex drive, renal dysfunction, and even renal failure for many years.
While you may not have heard of Cordyceps, it has been an herbal and medicinal tool that has been in use for centuries. Westerners are just now catching on to what Eastern cultures already know—Cordyceps is a powerful adaptogen with various physical and mental health benefits. Here are a just a few of the benefits that Cordyceps may offer:
According to research, oral administration of antioxidants and adaptogens like Cordyceps can reduce stress. Adaptogens support the body and help it to adapt to both mental and physical stress. It stimulates the adrenal glands and helps to regulate the nervous system, also known as the body’s “fight-or-flight” response.
Because the nervous system gets overstimulated when a person is exposed to chronic stress, adaptogens (like Cordyceps) can bring balance back to it.
While some inflammation in the body is perfectly okay, too much can lead to diseases like heart disease and cancer. Combating inflammation is where Cordyceps shines. Researchers found Cordyceps to reduce the protein level associated with increased inflammation in the body.
One study even found that taking Cordyceps effectively reduced symptoms of oxidative stress and inflammatory cytokines and improved participants' physical function.
Additionally, there is promising evidence that it has potential for topical use. In a study on mice, researchers found Cordyceps reduced skin inflammation.
Cordyceps are known for their ability to manage and optimize energy levels. As a general tonic, Cordyceps can be used as an adaptogen to improve physical performance. Athletes commonly use Cordyceps during training cycles to help them withstand fatigue during vigorous exercise.
The evidence suggests that Cordyceps also may boost male virility and endurance.
Cordyceps can increase the body's production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP). This vital molecule delivers energy to muscles. Researchers believe this unique function may enhance oxygen flow through your body, particularly during exercise.
So if you’re looking for a natural supplement to help boost your fitness regimen, Cordyceps may be the ingredient for you.
Cordyceps mushrooms contain adenosine, a chemical that can increase energy levels and manage stress in your body. Cordyceps also acts as a powerful stress management agent, helping to keep cortisol levels in check so you can enjoy your days without the negative side effects of stress – like low energy, poor digestion, feeling overwhelmed, and getting poor sleep.
Research also suggests that the energy-boosting impact of Cordyceps could play an anti-aging role due to their antioxidant properties. Older adults have been using Cordyceps to reduce fatigue and improve strength and sex drive.
Cordyceps has been shown to help increase nitric oxide levels, thus promoting better blood flow and oxygen delivery. If you have high blood pressure or are at risk for heart disease, try supplementing with Cordyceps to support your heart health. What's more, Cordyceps is a natural stress-reliever that can help you stay calm when things get hectic.
One study found Cordyceps significantly reduced heart injury rate among rats with chronic kidney disease. Injuries caused by chronic kidney disease can increase the risk of heart failure. Therefore, reducing these injuries is critical.
Additionally, Cordyceps is an approved Chinese remedy for arrhythmia, a condition characterized by a too-slow heartbeat, a too-fast heartbeat, or irregular heartbeat. Research shows Cordyceps may also have a positive effect on cholesterol.
The Cordyceps extract comes in either capsule or powder form. You can take the capsules with water and dissolve the powdered extract into liquid and drink it. No matter the format you consume it in, you can take up to 3,000 mg daily. We recommend taking Cordyceps in the morning or before exercising if you need a helpful energy boost.
Due to the difficulty of harvesting Cordyceps Sinensis and the high price tag of more than $9,000 per pound, most Cordyceps supplements contain a synthetically grown variety called Cordyceps CS-4. To be sure you are buying quality Cordyceps supplements, look for brands carrying the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) or NSF International (NSF) seal. These companies ensure that what you are getting in the supplement is what the bottle advertises.
At Revvl, we have a product called Revvl Restore that contains high-quality cordyceps in its formula. Give it a try and experience the compounding benefits of high-performing adaptogens working together. Discover the power of adaptogen blends today.

The endocrine system, which regulates hormones throughout your body, changes as you age into new stages of womanhood. The best way to maintain your health and vitality as you age is to take care of yourself holistically. This means taking care of your mind, body, and emotional health equally.
]]>Adaptogens like ashwagandha, Rhodiola rosea, and cordyceps can support your body through every stage of womanhood--from your early twenties to post-menopause. Womanhood is tough, but you don't have to tackle it alone.
Keep reading to learn how adaptogens can help.
Adaptogens are active substances in certain plants and mushrooms that may influence how your body responds to stress, anxiety, and fatigue.
These plants act on targeted stressors in your body when ingested. An adaptogen must have three essential qualities:
The goal of taking adaptogens is to bring your body into a balanced state (aka homeostasis). This restorative process occurs through the herbs' ability to increase or decrease bodily chemical reactions.
For example, when your cortisol levels are too high, an adaptogen will calm those levels. If you have chronic fatigue syndrome with low cortisol levels, an adaptogen can help increase those levels.
These unique botanicals act like a thermostat in your body – helping the body maintain a state of balance in the face of your ever-changing environment.
So, how can adaptogens promote positive health in women? They can provide an excellent boost to improve the immune system, fight fatigue, balance hormones, reduce menopausal symptoms, and more. And because adaptogens respond to your body based on what it needs, they can offer support throughout every stage of womanhood.
There are three well-researched adaptogens women frequently turn to– Ashwagandha, Rhodiola, and Cordyceps.
Read on to learn how they can help you and the other important women in your life..
Commonly used in Ayurvedic medicine, this herb is native to Asia, specifically India and regions of China. Studies have shown that ashwagandha can help lower oxidative stress, a precursor to accelerated aging, and improve energy and endurance.
Additionally, some women who experience low libido or low sexual function report ashwagandha has helped. Research suggests this occurs due to the adaptogens' ability to support healthy estrogen and testosterone production.
Lastly, ongoing research shows ashwagandha can drastically improve one's ability to manage anxiety and stress.
Also known as golden root, Rhodiola grows in arctic regions of Asia and Eastern Europe. The plant is a staple of Traditional Chinese Medicine and was also used by Vikings to increase stamina and help the body cope with the consequences of exposure. Today, it is beneficial for women's health.
Rhodiola can fight against physical and mental fatigue, improve physical endurance, and help manage symptoms of anxiety and depression.
Rhodiola is an excellent adaptogen for womanhood because it may also enhance fertility.
Evidence has shown that Rhodiola enhances thyroid function and may improve egg maturation. It led to a study in which 40 women unable to menstruate were given Rhodiola for two weeks. Twenty-five women saw normal menstruation restored after taking the adaptogen for two weeks. Eleven of those women eventually became pregnant.
Cordyceps is a long-time staple of Chinese medicine, even though it comes from a bizarre source--a fungus that grows on caterpillars. People often use it to get an energy boost, while others use it to promote sexual function.
According to a new study, more than 66% of women saw a reduction in sexual dysfunction in 40 days when taking a cordyceps supplement. Cordyceps may also increase blood flow, enhance fertility, and balance our sex hormones.
Both fertile and menopausal women can benefit from cordyceps, as it can increase both estrogen and testosterone level. This hormonal support can specifically help menopausal women prevent osteoporosis and bone weakening typically associated with older females. For younger women, it may help regulate mood swings and irritability.
Women's bodies are constantly in flux, no matter the stage of development. Adaptogens for hormone balance can help stabilize the persistent change. Adaptogens and womanhood seem to be a natural fit, helping the body function at optimal performance.
While minor imbalances and shifts are common, they can become dangerous for women's health when they spiral out of control. Adaptogens like ashwagandha, rhodiola rosea, and cordyceps can help maintain (or restore) critical balance.
Revvl Restore is a one-of-a-kind blend of three powerful adaptogens that promote the body's response to stress and foster physiological resilience. With this formula, you'll be more in control when challenges crop up and can be sure-footed in life. RESTORE provides a base for healthful living, something every modern woman needs.

]]>If you're struggling to sleep at night, you aren't alone. According to the National Sleep Foundation (NSF), approximately 70 million American adults suffer from chronic sleep problems. A big part of the problem is that we are all exposed to too much stress in our daily lives, which makes it hard to wind down when bedtime rolls around.
]]>A big part of the problem is that we are all exposed to too much stress in our daily lives, which makes it hard to wind down when bedtime rolls around. Luckily, adaptogens can help relieve your stress and promote relaxation, helping you nod off faster at night and wake up feeling rested.
Here are nine powerful solutions, tips, and tricks that can aid you in your quest for better sleep.
Stress is a common underlying factor causing restless nights. An adaptogen is a medicinal herb that enhances the body's natural ability to deal with stress. They enable your body to adjust to outside factors and function appropriately for the circumstance, boosting these efforts or easing the tension.
Our bodies and minds need structure and balance at all hours of the day, and adaptogens help to make this balance possible. They help balance the mood-swinging stress hormones that cause you to be awake all night. And in doing so, adaptogens allow your mind and body to achieve the deepest possible state of relaxation. In that state, healing and restoration can happen.
Some of the most popular adaptogens are ashwagandha, Rhodiola rosea, cordyceps, and ginseng. These herbs will not "knock you out" or induce unconsciousness—they make it easier for you to relax at bedtime and have a healthier night's sleep.
Ashwagandha has been used for centuries in India for various health conditions. Some research shows it helps fight anxiety and stress. Ashwagandha also lowers cortisol levels (known as the stress hormone), which can help promote restful sleep.
According to one study published in Alternative Medicine Review, it may also improve the quality of life in people with cancer and type 2 diabetes. The study concluded that ashwagandha extract helped lower glucose and cholesterol levels while improving fatigue-related symptoms and perceived quality of life among participants who received it compared with those who received a placebo.
Early evidence has indicated that the natural sleep aid, ashwagandha, may help individuals fall asleep more quickly, sleep for more extended periods, and achieve better quality sleep. The National Sleep Foundation found that six weeks of ashwagandha use improved participants' sleep quality by 72%.
When you're stressed, your body produces a powerful stress hormone called cortisol. Not only does it cause physical effects like an elevated heart rate and muscle tension, but it also affects your mental state of mind.
A stressed-out person is much more likely to have sleep problems than someone at ease. Stress relief can make a big difference in helping you fall asleep faster. Try relaxing activities like yoga or meditation, known for their ability to induce a relaxed state of mind.
Yoga and meditation may not be for everyone. The good news? There are numerous ways to seek stress relief. Connect with those you love, turn off the cell phone for a few hours, spend time outdoors, exercise, and the list goes on!
Participating in activities that elicit peace and joy is at the core of obtaining relief from life's daily stressors.
Modern life is fraught with distractions. Staring at screens late at night before bedtime can be problematic, adding more stressful distractions to an already hectic life.
No matter what time you go to bed, if you put yourself in a tech-free zone for an hour or two before bed, you'll fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer. Additionally, the blue light coming from modern devices can disrupt the body's natural sleep cycle or circadian rhythm.
For some people, turning off tech is as simple as unplugging from their phone; for others, it involves powering down technology for an hour or two at night and stowing their device away so they won't be tempted to reach for it.
If you find yourself looking into your phone's screen after dinner every night instead of winding down or logging off for a bit, make sleep a priority by taking yourself out of the loop so your brain can rest up properly.
Cordyceps is a Chinese herb known for curing everything from immune deficiencies and respiratory ailments, but it also has potential effects on sleep quality.
Cordyceps is another adaptogen that may lower cortisol levels in times of stress and improve insomnia. Again, adaptogens can up or down-regulate the body's internal stress hormones to restore balance.
If you want quality sleep but don't want to try melatonin (more on that later), a cordyceps supplement may be worth looking into.
Light interferes with your body's natural release of melatonin, an essential hormone for controlling sleep cycles. Falling asleep in a bright room isn't going to help you feel rested and refreshed; it could make you feel groggy and tired upon waking (if you manage to get any rest at all).
Make sure your bedroom is completely dark before falling asleep—even a crack of light from a closet or under the door can disrupt your slumber.
An excellent go-to tip? Consider installing blackout curtains! These curtains ensure absolute darkness in your room and act as an energy-efficient way to keep heating or cooling within your space. You can obtain better rest by sleeping in a dark room with a consistent, comfortable temperature with blackout curtains.
Sometimes getting sleep is a simple matter of blocking out noise, and earplugs are one way to do so. They're also inexpensive and comfortable, so they're a great option if you want a simple fix.
But here's another tip: If you really can't fall asleep because you live in a noisy environment, try using white noise instead of earplugs. White noise (like static on an old TV) equalizes sound, making you feel less stressed about not being able to hear what might be going on outside your door at night.
Using either earplugs or white noise can help your brain relax and drift off faster.
It can be immensely challenging to prioritize exercise and implement it into our hectic schedules—especially after a long day at work. But regular physical activity will help you fall asleep faster and sleep more soundly at night, according to data from Penn State College of Medicine.
The key is to make exercise a regular part of your day. Even if you can only squeeze in 30 minutes a few times a week, it can positively affect your sleeping habits.
While melatonin supplements may help you fall asleep faster, relying on it is not a positive long-term solution.
Melatonin is a hormone your body naturally produces, so when a person overuses it, their body may entirely stop making it on its own. This problematic side effect is why you will not find melatonin in Revvl's sleep product.
Adaptogens are safer, healthier, and more productive for positive sleep health across long-term use.
Sleep is a critical component of maintaining health, and it's essential to not just how much you sleep, but when.
Make sure you spend enough time in bed asleep at night (7–8 hours are best), ensure your bedtime routine signals to your body that it's time for sleep, and use safe supplements to promote restful sleep.
Keep a consistent wake-up time as well. Studies show that making even small changes in these areas can make an enormous difference in your overall sleep quality.

]]>It's been used as an adaptogen in Eastern medicine for over 2,000 years. Its benefits have been touted by famous athletes such as Russian swimmer Alexander Popov and Norwegian cross-country skier Therese Johaug.
But what exactly is Rhodiola Rosea, and how can you take advantage of its many benefits? Read on to learn more about what this ancient herb can do for your health.
First, we need to talk about what exactly Rhodiola is. It is a flowering plant in the family Crassulaceae and a member of one of two genera in that family. Many refer to it as Arctic root—and with good reason.
Rhodiola Rosea grows in the arctic or cold, high-altitude regions of Europe and Asia. In these cold, mountainous areas, people often turn to the herb when treating headaches, fatigue, anemia, anxiety, depression, and more.
Over the past few centuries, the plant obtained many names alongside the common "arctic root" or "golden root." People may also refer to it as the king's crown or the rose root.
Why does root appear in most of these nicknames? Because the true magic lies in the roots of the plant. These roots are known adaptogens that help regulate the body's stress response. It contains over 130 ingredients, but the two most potent are salidroside and rosavin.
People have turned to Rhodiola Rosea for centuries. To have a constant energy level for invading and raiding, the Vikings consumed Rhodiola Rosea, believing it would increase their stamina and vigor.
Rhodiola Rosea also made its way to China back in the day. Emperors in Ancient China sought out the herb when traveling to Serbia. They would brew tea from the "golden root" to treat everyday ailments like the flu.
In Siberia, many people drank Rhodiola Rosea tea, believing it could extend their lives. Historically, the plant was traditionally gifted to newlyweds with the hope of boosting fertility levels and promoting the birth of healthy babies. Many Siberians often kept the location of their Rhodiola Rosea plants a secret from others. They would trade the herb for honey, wine, and fruit instead of giving away the secrets of successful harvests.
In 1725, a Swedish botanist named Carl Linnaeus used the herb to treat several ailments, from headaches to hernias. He receives credit for officially naming the plant "Rhodiola Rosea."
Today, many people turn to this "golden root" for its many beneficial properties. Here are a few key benefits of taking Rhodiola Rosea:
Rhodiola has long been considered an adaptogen, meaning the plant's powerful properties can increase your body's resistance to stress in non-specific ways. Consuming the plant during periods of stress is thought to help you better handle tense situations.
Rhodiola can improve symptoms of burnout caused by chronic stress. In one study, 118 people with stress-related burnout took 400 mg of Rhodiola daily for 12 weeks. Various symptoms improved in those who participated in the study, including stress and depression, which are common in burnout.
Fatigue is caused by stress, anxiety, and inadequate sleep. It causes feelings of physical and mental exhaustion. It is thought that because of its adaptogenic properties, Rhodiola may help to alleviate fatigue.
One study with a sample size of 100 people with chronic fatigue symptoms received 400 mg of Rhodiola each day for eight weeks and experienced notable improvements in stress symptoms, fatigue, quality of life, mood, and concentration.
You can maintain a robust and healthy brain when you get plenty of exercise, follow a good nutrition plan, and get enough sleep. Supplements like Rhodiola can give these lifestyle habits a boost in power.
In animal studies, scientists have found that after one dose of Rhodiola, memory and mood levels were improved. These findings suggest that the plant could become an excellent cognitive-enhancing drug for humans.
Rhodiola may increase stamina, reduce physical and mental fatigue, and promote antioxidant activity.
One study on rats has shown that Rhodiola can boost muscle power and strength. Another study on young, healthy, and physically-active men found that consuming Rhodiola shortened their reaction time and increased overall antioxidant activity. Both essential indicators of health and athletic performance.
According to a recent extensive study, Rhodiola can also improve exercise performance by decreasing participant perception of exertion.
When you take Rhodiola, take it on an empty stomach and never before bedtime, as it has a slightly stimulating effect. A typical dose of Rhodiola extract is between 100 to 200 mg, three percent rosavin and one percent salidroside.
Modern-day research concludes that Rhodiola is beneficial for improving various symptoms related to stress, fatigue, or depression when consumed in doses between 400-600 mg daily. Research suggests an amount between 200 and 300 mg per day is best for those looking for a boost in athletic performance.
Rhodiola Rosea most often comes in capsule form, but you may also find it in a tincture form. These forms are safe to consume and have little to no side effects.
Like most foods and dietary supplements, there are many options available to purchase, but not all formulas are created equally. Ensure that the Rhodiola supplement you are considering is certified third-party, so you know it has not been mixed with cheaper or less effective ingredients.
Companies like Natreon, Inc. develop and manufacture some of the highest quality and best-researched natural extracts available to the market. We partner with them in creating our favorite adaptogen blend, Revvl Restore.
We recommend pairing your Rhodiola Rosea intake with other adaptogens so that you receive the compounding benefits of these herbs.

]]>For over 3,000 years, countries like China, India and Japan have been using this adaptogen in traditional medicine to support immune cell health, improve memory and cognitive function, reduce stress levels and balance hormones. Its other health benefits include reversing signs of aging, supporting joint health and even reducing muscle soreness after strenuous exercise (...just to name a few). So, let's talk a little more about the modern benefits and uses of Ashwagandha.
]]>If you've been researching natural ways to reduce stress, you've likely heard of this herb. But, what exactly is Ashwagandha and how can it help you?
Ashwagandha is a powerful adaptogenic herb that is said to help with nearly every aspect of health and well-being — including stress relief.*
Also known as Withania somnifera, Ashwagandha is an herb that grows in the harsh and often unforgiving regions of Northern India. This evergreen shrub goes by many names: including “Indian Winter Cherry” and “Indian Ginseng.”
Ashwagandha was first used by Ayurvedic practitioners in India and has become popular over the years among those who wish to take advantage of its many health benefits.
For over 3,000 years, countries like China, India and Japan have been using this adaptogen in traditional medicine to support immune cell health, improve memory and cognitive function, reduce stress levels and balance hormones.
Its other health benefits include reversing signs of aging, supporting joint health and even reducing muscle soreness after strenuous exercise (...just to name a few).
So, let's talk a little more about the modern benefits and uses of Ashwagandha.
Ashwagandha has been shown to reduce cortisol levels in the body which is one of the reasons it's so effective in reducing stress and anxiety. Cortisol is a stress hormone that increases during periods of high psychological or physical stress on your mind and body. Most commonly refer to this phenomenon as the “fight-or-flight" response.
Researchers believe Ashwagandha may help in managing acute and chronic stress because it contains specific compounds called withanolides, which have similar effects to certain anxiety medications. These compounds are thought to boost the brain's GABA receptor activity, which can help reduce anxiety and decrease feelings of stress in the body.
As an adaptogen, Ashwagandha has many benefits for improving energy levels, as well. It can help you feel more alert and focused throughout the day and its natural adaptogenic properties promote an energizing response by balancing the body’s natural energy functions.
Also, when stress levels are managed well and cortisol levels are balanced, the mind can handle stress or intense experiences without becoming overwhelmed.
Ashwagandha is especially beneficial for athletes, who can benefit from its ability to boost physical strength and endurance during strength training.
This herb helps people recover quickly after physical activity by reducing muscle soreness and fatigue. This is because its antioxidant properties make it an effective way to fight against the harmful effects of free radicals, which can build up over time and negatively affect healthy cells and tissues which slow down the body’s recovery process.
Ashwagandha is a great addition to most fitness and nutrition regimens and for those who may be training as the result of stress-related weight gain.
The unique compounds that make up the Ashwagandha plant have been shown to help improve sleep in those with difficulty sleeping by increasing natural melatonin levels and reducing the level of cortisol in the body – especially in older individuals.
Many researchers believe that this process works by increasing levels of serotonin and melatonin in the body, according to published studies. Some have also found that people taking Ashwagandha had less daytime drowsiness and fatigue than those taking placebo pills – making this specific ingredient a great sleep aid for those seeking relief from occasional sleeplessness.*
Ashwagandha may be a good alternative to those who have grown dependent upon melatonin products that can often leave on
Beyond its traditional medicinal uses, Ashwagandha has recently gained popularity as a natural nootropic supplement that can improve memory, overall brain function, concentration and even mood.
In a study involving 40 people with age related cognitive decline, half were given 250 milligrams of Ashwagandha twice daily for six months along with other regular treatments, while the other half received only the regular treatment (the researchers did not know which group was getting which). At the end of six months, those taking Ashwagandha showed improvements in memory, attention span and information processing speed compared to those who didn’t take it.
Studies like these have led researchers to believe that adaptogens like Ashwagandha have many neuroprotective traits and with additional research, could be beneficial for protecting against cognitive decline during the aging process.
There are several ways you can use Ashwagandha:
Like most foods and dietary supplements, there are many different options available to purchase but not all are formulated equally. The best and most effective Ashwagandha supplements on the market are extracted from both the root and the aerial parts of the Ashwagandha plant.
Companies like Natreon, Inc. develop and manufacture some of the highest quality and best researched natural extracts available to the market – like their own Sensoril® Ashwagandha. This is one of the main ingredients in our product called Revvl Restore.
We recommend pairing your Ashwagandha intake with other adaptogens so that you receive the compounding benefits of these herbs.
